Turbo Installation Tips
Diagnose and fix any problems that caused the previous turbo to fail.
Change engine oil and filter as specified by the vehicles manufacturers.
Clean or replace air filters to prevent premature turbo failure.
Check and clean DPF and EGR.
Replace oil feed line (Keep receipt for warranty).
Remove all plastic plugs from turbo before installation.
Use new gaskets when installing. DO NOT USE SILICONE!
Prime turbo with new oil through oil inlet hole.
Make sure all oil and coolant levels are where they need to be.
Start car and let idle for 5-10 minutes.
Check installation for any leaks.
Once the turbo has been installed, perform a “Boost leak test” and check for any leaks. A boost leak can cause the turbo to over-speed causing damage over time.
After 20 operating hours or 1000Km, check for any leaks.
